Daniel Kish

of Allentown

Daniel Kish, 65, died peacefully June 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS. He was the devoted husband of Patti (Story) Kish for more than 37 years. Born in Geneva, N.Y., he was the son of the late Daniel and Lea (Cibello) Kish. Raised in Wilkes-Barre, he excelled as an athlete, earning letters in baseball and football and was a proud member of the undefeated 1976 Wilkes-Barre GAR Football State Championship team.

He pursued finance and played football at Susquehanna University.

He raised his family in Allentown, where he nurtured his passions for gardening, reading and the outdoors. He cherished supporting his daughter’s plays and concerts and cheering at his son’s sporting events.

His distinguished career in finance and engineering took him worldwide, working with companies such as Raytheon, Bethlehem Steel, Alstom Power, Foster Wheeler and Babcock Power. Known for his warmth, Daniel forged lasting friendships and earned the admiration of colleagues everywhere.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Alexandra and her husband, Andrew, of Pottstown; son, Danny and his wife, Dominique, of Baltimore, Md.; siblings, Mary Majikes Kish, Thomas and his wife, Renee, Lea Ann, Paul and his wife, Sandra and Stephen, all of Wilkes-Barre; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. June 28 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, with visitation 10 a.m. until the service. A memory tribute may be shared at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
