EHS names student of the week

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. Michele (mom), Brian (dad), Taylor (sister), Murphy and Molly (dogs) and Winnie and Willow (cats).

Q. As a 2025 graduate of Emmaus High School, do you have any special plans for this summer?

A. I will be working at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom with some of my good friends and going to the beach.

Q. What was your favorite class at EHS? Why?

A. My favorite class was AP Biology with Mrs. Svencer because we did fun experiments and we all got along really well, including the teacher.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I was named the Most Valuable Player on the Emmaus girls varsity soccer team, and selected for the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference 3rd team All-Conference my junior year. I was also the varsity captain of the girls soccer team my senior year and a member of National Honor Society.

Q. Were you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?

A. I was involved in five extracurricular activities in school, including clubs, honors societies and sports. Being involved in these programs has really shaped who I am today and made my high school experience so much more enjoyable. I met some amazing people in these organizations and discovered my passions in life. Outside of school, I am a U.S. youth soccer referee and a ride operator shift lead at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge throughout high school and still to date is managing my academics and extracurriculars. This has been tough, but really taught me time management skills and how to prioritize certain things over others.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. After high school I want to go to college and make new friends that I will have for life. I also want to become the best version of myself and enjoy my time in college playing soccer while also majoring in nursing.

Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with an historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?

A. I would speak with Martin Luther King Jr. because he was very smart and insightful and I would love to hear the ideas he has. He was brave and powerful and hearing his inspirational words would be truly life-changing for me.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I want to be remembered for my kindness and passion for Emmaus and soccer.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice would be to embrace the challenges thrown at you and learn from them. Each of these obstacles is just another chance for us to grow as people.
