Sunshine and community spirit filled the air May 31, as Union United Church of Christ hosted its annual Country Sale: Church and Community Wide Yard Sale at the scenic Neffs Church Grove Park along Route 873.
The event featured 10-15 tents brimming with a wide array of items, from household goods and lawn supplies to clothing and handmade jewelry.
Bargain hunters and treasure seekers browsed the eclectic selections while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Adding to the charm of the day was a delightful spread of baked goods.
Volunteers and community members offered up a variety of homemade treats, including pies, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, muffins, brownies, fudge, bar cookies and savory snack mixes.
The Country Sale not only provided an opportunity for neighbors to clean out their closets and find new treasures but also served as a heartwarming reminder of the power of community connection.
Proceeds from the event support church programs and outreach efforts throughout the year.
The Country Sale for Union United Church of Christ, Route 329 and Route 873, Neffs, is held May 31 in Neffs Grove. A sign in front lists future events.
