Wilkes
Student-athlete
honored
Wilkes University’s athletics department celebrated the induction of the 2025 Class of Colonels Elite and Chi Alpha Sigma society members on April 8, at the Marts Center, as part of the NCAA Division III Week festivities.
The Colonels Elite is a distinguished society that honors student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional commitment both in the classroom and on the field.
This year, 17 student-athletes were inducted, marking the 13th class in the society’s history.
Among the inductees is Lucas “Buck” Miller, of Kempton, a sophomore mechanical engineering student, and a dedicated wrestler at Wilkes.
Miller, a 2023 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, earned this prestigious honor for maintaining a perfect GPA and demonstrating outstanding leadership and commitment to the wrestling team.
To be inducted, a student-athlete must have completed at least 60 credits with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher.
Transfer students must have accumulated 60 total college credits, with at least 30 of those from Wilkes University.
Additionally, members must be of good moral character, as determined by the athletic department, and must currently be listed on a Wilkes roster.
