Annual event honors regular blood donor

Deana Leibensperger holds a picture of her beloved son Wayne Leibensperger Jr. who died in a motor vehicle accident March 17, 2014 at the age of 21. Through her grief, she has found a way to honor Wayne’s memory and help the community by organizing a blood drive each year during the month of June continuing his legacy as a regular blood donor. Leibensperger expressed her gratitude to Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury for the continued use of the church to facilitate the blood drive.
