As much as the volunteers at the Sanctuary at Haafsville love Rufus, he really must find his forever home ASAP. Shelter life does not suit Rufus’s personality. You see, Rufus needs to be caged as a result of his naughty behavior with other cats. His length of free roam time is determined by his conduct. Rufus then becomes frustrated being confined in a cage. When he’s out and it’s quiet, Rufus is very affectionate with people. He enjoys scratching and petting of his head and upper body. He gets annoyed when you pet his back end. When he’s free roaming, he does like to find a comfy cat bed and relax in a sunbeam. Rufus will thrive in a quiet home where he is the only four legged family member. Rufus is about 3 years old, healthy, neutered, vaccinated, negative for feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus, litter trained and microchipped.
