East-West All-Star rosters named

The East and West rosters for the inaugural PA High School All-Star Game were released last week. The game is sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Baseball Coaches Association.

The game will take place June 22, 2025 at Medlar Field in State College, PA.

This game will feature senior all-stars from the East (Districts 1-2-3-11-12) taking on the seniors from the West (Districts 4-5-6-7-8-9-10) in a nine-inning contest.

The East roster will be coached by the staff of Sandy Menichetti (Holy Cross HS), Jesse Bortner (Big Springs HS) and tentatively Scott Buffington (Schuylkill Haven HS) with others to be named, according to the release. The West roster will be led by Mike Myers (Southern Columbia HS), Mike Kramer (Central Mountain HS), Sid Landsberry (Clearfield HS) and Dan Oliastro (Riverside HS).

All seniors were nominated by their HS coaches who are members of the PSBCA and selected by a committee of coaches.

Four players from District 11 were named to the East team, including Bethlehem Catholic’s Caden Deegan, who is named as a first baseman. Allen’s Erick Lopez was named as a catcher. Rocco DelGiudice is an infielder from Pocono Mountain East and Chase Kilareski was named as an outfielder from Nazareth.
