16th Annual Volunteer Challenge Creates Community Impact
Community Impact is what we do! The 16th annual Volunteer Challenge was a huge success, bringing together 40 businesses and their corporate team(s) to support 40 local nonprofits, and raise a record $91,000 in support for our great work.
Volunteer Challenge empowers teams to partner with nonprofit organizations in a creative and collaborative effort that results in a lasting and sustainable impact. Each team works closely with their nonprofit partner to design and execute meaningful service projects- from facility improvements and outdoor beautification to digital marketing support.
The following companies are the Volunteer Challenge 2025 winners:
- Small company winners: American Bank partnered with Washington Elementary for winning firstst place; Citro partnered with The Center of Animal Health & Welfare to win second place; and Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba P.C. partnered with Meals on Wheels GLV for third Place.
- Large company winners: Crayola partnered with Roosevelt Elementary to win first place; Air Products partnered with GEDP to win second place; and St. Luke’s University Health Network partnered with Hispanic Center of the LV for third place.
- The “Judge’s Choice Award” this year went to MKSD Architects, who partnered with Haven House
With this year’s Volunteer Challenge, the Volunteer Center has engaged, over the past 15 years, the Volunteer Center has engaged 112 corporate teams (including five newcomers this year) that have completed 360 sustainable projects for nonprofit organizations to date. Every project makes a difference.
