Martin “Marty” D. Semmel, 71, of Emmaus, died May 28, 2025, at home. He was the husband of Heidi L. (Roth) Semmel, with whom he shared more than 49 years of marriage. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Edwin D. Jr. and Lorraine (Martin) Semmel.

Along with his wife Heidi, he was the co-owner of C.E. Roth Formal Wear LLC, Allentown. His wife and dedicated staff will continue to carry on his legacy through their formal wear business. He loved car racing and in his earlier years he worked for Mr. Harr’s Auto body, Coopersburg.

His pride and joy were his granddaughters as well as being with his granddog Odin and working in his garage rebuilding cars.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Nichole D. Persing, of Coopersburg; granddaughters, Madalyn, Brooke and Emma; brothers, Kirk and Neil; sisters, Leslye and Linette; many close friends and wonderful staff at C.E. Roth.

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
