Jean L. Dayton, 92, of Macungie, formerly of Allentown, died June 2, 2025, in the inpatient hospice unit of the Lehigh Valley Health Network. She was born in Freeland to the late Charles F. and Betty Billman.

She graduated from Allentown High School in 1951 and was married to Robert L. Dayton for almost 60 years until his death in 2011.

She worked at Traub’s Market and for Allentown School Food Service

She was a member of St. Michael’s of Nativity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by sons, Robert C. (Cheryl), Barry W. (Laurie); grandchildren, Barry Jr. (Jessica), Sara (Jason) Troutman, Krista (Chris) Schenkel, Heather (fiancé, Wayne Blank); great-grandchildren, Dominic and Dylan Dayton, Willow, Brynne and Halle Troutman, Cassidy and Caiden Schenkel; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles J.

Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown, handled the arrangements.
