Fun at the pool

Although the season opening was greeted by unseasonably cooler weather and some rain, patrons came out for a fun time with family, friends and neighbors.
Aaron Harms, of Whitehall, enjoys the grounds of Parkview Pool, 3051 S. Fifth St., Hokendauqua, to relax and read a good book June 8, the pool’s opening day. Hours of operation are noon-7 p.m., with 11 a.m.-noon available for pool pass holders only.
Having fun in the kiddie pool for the first time this summer are sister and brother Addison and Brayden Miletics.
With a history of being a regular Parkview Pool patron, Micah O’Brien readies himself to make a big splash in the pool this year while lifeguard Olivia Wickel looks out for his safety. Whitehall Township employs 19 lifeguards at the pool with a minimum of eight lifeguards assigned to each shift.
