Erika M. Boehme, 91, of Macungie, died May 17, 2025, at DevonHouse Senior Living, Allentown. Her husband, Richard M. Boehme died Aug. 7, 2024. Born in Isny im Allgau, Baden-Wuerttemburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Franz and Viktoria (Hieber) Haefele.

She was a graduate of Hauptschule Isny High School, Class of 1950.

She worked in several clerical positions in southern West Germany 1950-1960, when she married and moved to live in Long Island, N.Y. She was most of all a loving housewife and mother. Her favorite place to visit was Hawaii and for a period between 1993 and 2010, she and her husband spent summers in her hometown of Isny and winters in Macungie to be close to family on both continents.

She is survived by a son, Richard P. and his wife, Sharon, of Allentown; grandsons, Thomas A., of Morrisville and Andrew R., of Allentown; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews in Germany.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Ursula in Munich, Germany; Theresia, Veronika and Franz, all in Isny, Germany.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
