Dean graduates
On May 16, Stephanie Dean, of Coplay, who majored in civil engineering, was bestowed a bachelor’s degree at Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s 156th commencement. Nearly 1,300 undergraduate degrees were awarded during the ceremony.

Alvernia University
Dean’s list is announced
More than 730 students were named to Alvernia University’s dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester. To be eligible for this honor, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Widener University
Hawk, Mallouhi graduate
Widener University celebrated the achievements of 897 Chester-campus graduates in five ceremonies held on Memorial Field between May 13 and 15 — two of which were Caroline Hawk, of Bath, and Fadi Mallouhi, of Whitehall. Hawk earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the college of health and human services, and Mallouhi earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the school of engineering.
Graduates from the schools of business, nursing and engineering, colleges of arts and sciences, health and human services and the center for graduate and continuing studies individually crossed the stage and were congratulated by President Stacey Robertson as they received a symbolic representation of their degrees. Graduates hailed from 12 countries and 24 states.

East Stroudsburg University, a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, opened in 1893 as East Stroudsburg Normal School. Today, ESU is a comprehensive university in northeastern Pennsylvania offering 49 undergraduate programs, 20 master’s programs and two doctoral programs.

Hess inducted into honor society
Cedar Crest College is pleased to announce Kjirsten Hess, of Whitehall, was inducted into the Delphi Society for the spring 2025 semester in recognition of outstanding academic achievements. Delphi recognizes exceptional students who have completed 86 or more total credits (including at least 60 graded credits of academic work at the college) and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or above.
