Charlotte (Gadwell) Kocian, 79, died May 31, 2025, at Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown, after a short battle with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley. Born and raised in Easton, she resided in Allentown for the last 30 years.

She spent much of her life helping others in a CNA capacity, assisting them in their final journeys. She worked in various local nursing homes and as a visiting nurse’s aide.

She is fondly remembered for her amazing ability to bake extraordinary desserts for family gatherings and sharing them with many people in her field.

She was an avid flower lover. Her home has always been surrounded by beautiful aromatic flowers. In addition, she was an avid animal lover. Her cats were favorite companions.

She is survived by her sister, Michele (Gadwell) Kleckner; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, William (Billy) Maddock III, parents, Charles and Anna Gadwell; brother, Charles B. Gadwell; sister, Marcia Susslin.

There will be a private family gathering as a celebration of life.
