First-year student Jacob Rivera (Liberty HS) was named the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year highlighting nine Bulldogs named to the All-MAC Freedom Team as announced by the conference office and as voted on by the eight MAC Freedom coaches on Monday morning.

Rivera was named the MAC Freedom Baseball Rookie of the Year along with being named to the Second Team. Joining him on the Second Team was graduate student Travis Kerr and junior JT Anderosky. Senior Colin Houck earned All-MAC Freedom First-Team honors. Graduate student Gavin Zavorski, seniors Owen Fischl and Frank Parrotti, junior Mike Hooker, and sophomore Jeremy Stranix earned All-MAC Honorable Mention to round out the honorees.

Rivera became the 12th Bulldog to take home MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year honors and the third-straight. He had an impressive first year with the Bulldogs finishing with a .432 batting average to go along with two home runs and 25 RBIs.
