Sheckler News: Last day of classes June 9
Sheckler Elementary School has less than a week of school left before summer break.
The last day for school lunch was June 3.
There will be early dismissals June 4, 5, 6 and 9. Breakfast will be served on these days.

Catasauqua Area School District Board of Education will next meet 7 p.m. June 10 in the board meeting room at the district office, 201 N. 14th St.

Catasauqua Borough is offering a free summer program for its borough residents in grades 1-6 for the 2025-26 school year. The program runs 9:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays through Fridays from June 16 to Aug. 1 at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St.
Registration forms can be emailed to candace@catasauqua.org, dropped off in the borough’s drop box, mailed in or brought on the first day of the program.

Sheckler Elementary is offering two STEAM summer camp sessions this summer.
Students in grades 2-4 meet June 16, and students in grades 5-8 meet June 17. Both groups meet 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
The cost is $20.

Lehigh Valley Girls Rock is getting ready to host its 12th annual Get Loud camp, scheduled for July 14-19 in Whitehall. Lehigh Valley Girls Rock offers an empowerment camp built on being in a rock band for cisgender girls, transgender and nonbinary youth.
At Get Loud, you will learn an instrument, form a band, write a song, attend workshops, perform at a concert, make new friends and raise your voice. No music experience is necessary.
Tuition is from zero dollars to $375, on a sliding scale, with no one turned away for lack of funds. Full and partial scholarships are readily available.
All tuition payments are due by July 7.
