Mary Lou Hodes, 91, died May 26, 2025, at her residence in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Reuel L. Hodes Sr. for 52 years.

Born in Galena, Md., she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Elsie (McCord) Hodes.

She graduated from Slatington High School in 1951.

She worked for many years as a secretary in the insurance industry.

She was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church of Catasauqua, where she sang in the choir.

She is survived by a daughter, Robin Cirocco and husband Michael; a son, Reuel L. Jr. and wife Lisa; seven grandchildren, Andrew and wife Amy, Kevin and wife Alex, Amanda, Daniel Cirocco and wife Cindy, Ryan Cirocco and wife Amonrat, Joshua Cirocco and Megan Wahl and husband Adam; six great-grandchildren, Bethany, Hannah, Isabella, Theo, Lyra and Piper; a brother-in-law, James Sticher; a sister-in-law, Joan Eckhart; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Arlene Sticher; and two brothers, John and Merrill Eckhart.
