Fountain Hill Borough Council addressed summer plans at its May 21 meeting, answering the question on everyone’s mind: When will the pools be open for the summer season? Recreation Chair Jamie Johnston assured her colleagues they will be open June 11.

Only certain details, said Manager Amy Burkhart, such as hiring new part-time staff and scheduling shifts, still need to be ironed out.

In addition to the opening date, Johnston shared the rates for this year. Fountain Hill residents can purchase season passes for $60 per person, while nonresidents can for $90 per person. At-the-door passes are $8 per person before 4 p.m., and $6 per person after. Residents can also purchase daily passes at borough hall for $6 per person.
