Members of the congregation and visitors moved from the sanctuary to the cemetery for the program which included a religious service, patriotic hymns, a wreath-laying ceremony and taps, the bugle call for “lights out” played by a young trumpet player. The church is a familiar sight to anyone traveling on Broadway through the village as it is just west of the Cedar Crest Boulevard interchange with Broadway. ABOVE: The Rev. U.S. Navy veterans Lou Wheeland, HM2 and John Gebhardt, Lt. place a wreath in remembrance of the members of Cedar Church who had lost their lives in wars throughout the Church’s history.
