Northampton police

Northampton police responded to these and other calls recently.

APRIL 20

A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 block of Main Street.

Officers investigated a report of a dog bite in the 1000 block of Canal Street.

Police assisted a female in the 500 block of East Ninth Street.

A disturbance in the 1600 block of Canal Street was reported.

Officers checked on the welfare of a female in the 1800 block of Washington Avenue.

In the 2300 block of Main Street, a domestic dispute took place.

APRIL 21

Hit and runs took place in the 100 block of East Fourth Street, where a legally parked vehicle was struck, damaging the driver’s side. The offending driver left the scene, leaving a mirror and rim of a light-color Volkswagen. The second occurred in the 300 block of Howertown Road, where a legally parked vehicle was struck, knocking off the driver-side mirror. The driver was in the vehicle and was able to get the registration of the offending vehicle, and officers made contact with the other driver.

Police checked on the welfare of males in the 100 block of West 28th Street and the 1400 block of Canal Street and on a female in the 100 block of West 14th Street.

In the 800 and 1600 blocks of Main Street, reports of neighbor issues had officers at the scene.

A disturbance in the 1700 block of Canal Street took place.

Juvenile problems occurred in the 500 block of East 11th Street, at Buckingham Drive and Atlas Lane and in the 1600 block of Main Street.

APRIL 22

Reports of domestic disputes took place in the 1400 block of Dewey Avenue and the 1600 block of Newport Avenue.

Police checked on the welfare of males in the unit block of West 21st Street, the 1600 block of Washington Avenue and the 1300 block of Stewart Street.

Police conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Main Street.

APRIL 23

Suspicious activity at Canal and West 14th streets was reported.

In the 1400 block of Dewey Avenue, a report of a civil issue occurred.

Officers checked on the welfare of a female in the 2400 block of Dewey Avenue.

Traffic stops were conducted in the 900 and 1500 blocks of Main Street and the unit block of West 21st Street.

Police assisted a male in the unit block of West 21st Street.

APRIL 24

Officers responded to a neighbor complaint in the 1600 block of Main Street.

A suspicious female at Washington Avenue and East 21st Street was reported.

Suspicious activity in the 1000 block of Canal Street and the 1000 block of Main Street was reported.

At Smith Lane and Lerchenmiller Drive, a report of a suspicious vehicle was investigated.

APRIL 25

A traffic stop was conducted in the 1800 block of Main Street.

Police assisted a female at Laubach Avenue and Pete Schneider Drive.

Officers checked on the welfare of a female in the 2100 block of Washington Avenue.

APRIL 26

Harassment in the 1400 block of Washington Avenue was reported.

Police served a warrant service in the 1400 block of Washington Avenue. Officers took a female with an active warrant out of Montgomery County into custody and transported her to Northampton County Prison.

Officers assisted a male in the 1000 block of Main Street.

Loud music in the 1600 block of Canal Street was reported to police.

A domestic dispute took place in the 900 block of Main Street.

In the 1600 block of Main Street, a report of a juvenile issue was addressed.

Reports of disturbances were investigated in the 1900 block of Lincoln Avenue, the 1200 block of Main Street and at West 14th and Canal streets.

APRIL 27

A civil matter occurred in the 1400 block of Dewey Avenue.

Police checked on the welfare of males in the 2600 block of Cherryville Road and the 2400 block of Dewey Avenue and on a female at West 14th and Canal streets.

On Smith Lane, a report of a juvenile issue was investigated.

Officers assisted a female in the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue.

Harassment in the 2000 block of Main Street was reported.

Traffic stops were conducted in the 300 block of Howertown Road and the 2000 block of Main Street.
