From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 7, Lehigh Township Rails to Trails will be having a plant sale at Indian Trail Park, Route 248, Pennsville. There will be annuals, perennials, small trees, shrubs and houseplants. Baked goods will also be available.

Come early for the best selection!

Proceeds will be used for the group’s continuing work in the woods at the park.

Oplinger-Hower American Legion Post 899 of Lehigh Township launched a Hometown Heroes banner program to honor our men and women of all branches of the military who served our country, whether in wartime or peace. These banners, which honor both past and present veterans, will fly year-round.

To participate in this program, forms are available at Post 899, 1140 Municipal Road, Walnutport.

The third phase, consisting of 54 additional banners, are ordered and will be added to the more than 190 banners already in the township. Applications for the fourth phase of the program are being accepted.
