Bath: Church needs help with VBS
Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, needs your help 9 a.m. May 31 with decorating for Vacation Bible School, to be held June 23-27. The church is looking for Christmas trees to borrow to help transform fellowship hall into an Alaskan wilderness. Make sure all trees are labeled so they can be returned to you.

Moore Elementary School has asked Emmanuel’s church for help in refilling its food pantry as the school prepares to send food home with students for the summer. The final Sunday to bring in donations is June 1.
Needed items include applesauce cups, fruit cups, cereal bars, granola bars, boxes of cereal or individual-sized cereal, oatmeal packets, juice boxes/pouches, canned soup, ramen and canned pasta, such as ravioli or SpaghettiOs.

Bath Area Community Choir will present “Let Freedom Ring” 4 p.m. June 8 at Emmanuel’s church. A freewill offering will benefit Eckley E. Patch Post 470 Scholarship Fund.

The 16th annual Paw Prints on the Canal will be 11 a.m.-4 p.m. June 8 at Canal Street Park, 1400 Canal St., Northampton.

Bath Area Food Bank will be distributing food June 10, starting around 9:30 a.m., on the lower level of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St.

Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Drive, would like to make everyone aware the hall and pavilion is available for rent. They are also in need of a cook 5-9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Contact the club after 4 p.m. at 610-261-2210.
