A 45-year-old Emmaus man has died after being involved in a police incident in the area of 1500 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., South Whitehall Township.
According to the Lehigh County Corner Daniel A. Buglio, Timothy D. Vanbilliard was pronounced deceased at 2:59 p.m. May 11 in the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Buglio said an autopsy was conducted May 13 at the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensics Center.
The cause and manner of Vanbilliard’s death are pending further investigation, which included awaiting the results of toxicology and microscopic studies, Buglio said.
In addition to the coroner’s office and South Whitehall Township Police Department, this incident is being investigated by the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.
The Press reached out to the Lehigh County District Attorney’s office May 14 for comment and received the following comment, “At this time, this incident remains under investigation. We cannot comment further.”
