Country sale in the grove May 31

Union United Church of Christ, 5550 Route 873 Neffs, will stage its annual country sale in the grove 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 31.
Here is an opportunity to shop, have a good time with people from the church and community and have some great food.
The kitchen will be open for lunch and there will be a variety of baked goods for sale.
People will be set up throughout the grove with yard sale treasures as well as some new and craft items for sale.
The Upper Lehigh Lions Club will have a chicken barbecue at the Schnecksville Fire Company, noon to 6 p.m. May 31. Choose from eat in or take out.
Limited walk in orders will be available. To reserve your dinner call 484-249-7447.
St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, will decorate the sanctuary with geraniums May 25 for Memorial Day. A special offering will be taken on that Sunday for Strengthen the Church. This fund is directed to the U.C.C. “big tent” vision to support leadership development, new churches, youth ministries and renewal initiatives for existing congregations in projects that matter now and in the future.
Pastor Gordan Camp, Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, offered some thoughts for people to consider.
“When it comes to putting our faith into action, it’s easy to wonder what kind of difference we can really make.
“Each of us has special passions, talents and gifts that can help make the world a more loving, peaceful, kind place.
“Don’t worry about failing, being criticized or not achieving huge results. Keep shining!”
