Roughies Report: LCTI’s senior recognition night to be held May 29 at PPL
Lehigh Career and Technical Institute’s senior recognition night, celebrating the Class of 2025, will be held May 29 at PPL Center, 701 Hamilton St., Allentown. Seniors and their families are invited to attend the ceremony, which begins 6:30 p.m. All of the seniors will be presented with certificates on stage during the celebration.

Reminder: Catasauqua Area School District will be closed May 26 in observance Memorial Day. Schools will open and classes will resume May 27.

Graduation for the Catasauqua High School Class of 2025 is scheduled for 10 a.m. May 31 in the school gymnasium. Class officers would like to prepare goody bags for the graduating seniors to enjoy on this special day. Class funds will be used to purchase some gifts, but the class would greatly appreciate any snack contributions/donations to include in the bags.

The end of the year is coming. There will be early dismissal June 5, 6 and 9, with CHS students dismissed 11:15 a.m.
The last day of school for students is June 9.

The annual surplus auction at LCTI is scheduled for 4 p.m. July 17.

Lehigh Valley Girls Rock is getting ready to host its 12th annual Get Loud camp, scheduled for July 14-19 in Whitehall. Lehigh Valley Girls Rock offers an empowerment camp built on being in a rock band for cisgender girls, transgender and nonbinary youth.
At Get Loud, you will learn an instrument, form a band, write a song, attend workshops, perform at a concert, make new friends and raise your voice. No music experience is necessary.
Tuition is from zero dollars to $375, on a sliding scale, with no one turned away for lack of funds. Full and partial scholarships are readily available.
All tuition payments are due by July 7.
