The Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners met May 15 for its regularly scheduled meeting where approval of Resolution 2025-14 was the primary task on the agenda for the meeting.
This resolution is the amended Mack Trucks/Depot properties plan – a 37-acre tract of land located at the southwest intersection of Orchard Road and Alburtis Road. The original plan was approved in May of 2019 and was a single phase.
This plan is for a truck staging facility, including a shop building, driveway, parking lot and utilities and stormwater management facility.
Phase 1 will include installation of previously approved improvements. The parking area will remain in stone during this phase. No building construction will occur during this phase. Access will be created from Orchard Road which will become the emergency entrance in the future.
Phase 2 will include sanitary sewer and irrigation systems. Phase 3 will include building installation.
The resolution was approved.
The bill list was presented and approved.
Continuing notes of thanks for acquiring open space land were acknowledged.
The next board workshop was scheduled May 19 due to the Memorial Day holiday
There was an executive session held after the meeting regarding personnel issues.
