Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A. I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.
Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.
A. My dad Reynold, my mom Kristine, my brother Paul, my sister Ashley and my dog Kona.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. Math and computer science are my passions because I enjoy the process of working through a problem to find a complex solution. Also, the feeling of finding the solution that you never thought you would find is amazing.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I’m a member of National Honor Society and have received the Principal’s Academic Excellence Award, Principal’s Honor Roll and Excellence in Computer Science.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?
A. I am involved in cross-country, winter track club, spring track and field, EPC Student Athlete Advisory Committee and Student Athlete Leadership Team. All of the activities have allowed me to grow great relationships with friends, build a determined and hardworking mindset and have something to look forward to at the end of every day.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. My biggest challenge to date is my issue with getting sick after the majority of my races throughout my running career. It causes a lot of pain and has created a huge barrier for me to reach my goals in running, but through all of this, I still get up after every race and move on to the next one.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. I want to attend Moravian University and learn more about computers and the future of technology while improving my running career to the next level.
Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with a historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?
A. I would choose to talk with George Washington due to his mindset and the huge list of accomplishments he’s achieved. It would be great to hear how he thinks and how he pushes himself to do things that no one thought would be possible. Also, it would be great to hear how he was such a great leader and how being the first President felt to him.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I would like to be remembered as a good friend and outgoing person who you could trust no matter what. Also, I don’t want to be remembered as a bad person, but a nice and caring one.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. Keep pushing for your challenging goals even if you feel you can’t quite reach them, because when you do get there, you’ll never forget that amazing feeling.
