Michael Rosazza

EHS Class of 1999 graduate

Michael Robert Joseph Rosazza, 43, of Orefield, died May 5, 2025, in the hospice unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital — Cedar Crest, after a courageous long hard fought battle. He was the son of Candice and Gary Rosazza, of Emmaus.

He was a 1999 graduate of Emmaus High School and attended Kutztown University, after earning placement in their prestigious communication design program, being selected one of 70 out of 600 applicants.

In 2002, he co-founded Axelrad Screen Printing and Graphic Design in Kingston, with best friend Dave Maloney. He loved to design and screen print; he also was a screen printer for Lehigh Valley Apparel Creations in Allentown and HAPCO in Emmaus. He currently was employed as graphic designer for the Lower Saucon Historical Society.

Not only extremely gifted in both art and music, he also loved cooking, expressing his other art form. He worked at upscale restaurants, notably Ms. Tootsies Soul Food Cafe on South Street in Philadelphia, where Ms. Tootsie herself took “White Mike” under her wing. She only shared her secret recipes with him.

He learned music at an early age while he listened to countless piano lessons as a child with mom as his teacher. He was one mean guitar player. We know he’s rockin’ on in Heaven.

He also learned the Snap-on Tool business alongside his dad working in inventory control and as assistant warehouse manager in the West Chester branch. He was a man of many talents. But the most beloved thing in his life was skateboarding.

He had a quirky quick wit and sense of humor like no other and his kindness and generosity were unmatched. The family gratefully acknowledges all those dear friends that traveled far to visit him in hospice.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Allentown.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Matthew, of Lansdale; maternal grandmother, Nancy Ditria; aunts and uncles, Dave and Maggie, of Arizona; Glenn and Pat, of Florida, Gene and Robin, of California; cousins, Nadine Romanyshyn, Joseph and JoAnne Zairo. He was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Joseph Ditria; paternal grandparents, Robert and Grace.

Services will be private, no visiting or calling hours. A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
