Queenship of Mary Church member
Alvin “Ivy” J. Schloffer, 90, of Northampton, died May 10, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Pauline (Kroboth) Schloffer for 68 years.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late John and Katherine (Milkovits) Schloffer.
He served his country in the U.S. Army as a Sp4 tank driver with the 69th armored division at Fort Benning, Ga.
He was employed as a route salesman for Mary McIntosh and a truck driver for A&B Meats for many years.
He was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.
He was a member of Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carol Reinhard and husband Thomas; two grandchildren, Brooke and Taylor; and great grandchildren, Cameron and Quinn.
He was predeceased by a son, David; and a brother, John.
There will be a calling time 9-10:15 a.m. May 16 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. at the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton, 18067.
