The PJ Library Monthly Tot Shabbat will be held 4-5:30 p.m. at Congregation Brith Sholom, 1190 Macada Road, Bethlehem.

Kids and their families will learn about Shabbat and celebrate with songs and PJ library stories. A light dinner will be provided. Participants will receive everything they need to celebrate Shabbat at home. Registration is required. May 10

Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield, will hold a basket social, craft fair and plant sale. Food and baked goods will be available for sale. Doors open 9 a.m. Tickets for baskets will be drawn 1 p.m. Pickup of baskets will be 4-6 p.m. May 10 and 10 a.m. to noon May 12.

The Seed Farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road, Emmaus, will host its annual spring plant sale 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 11.

The sale is held rain or shine and features more than 200 varieties of locally grown frost and cold tolerant vegetable, herb and flower starters. Starter plants are non-GMO, pesticide-free and grown without synthetic chemicals. Staff and volunteers will be available to offer information on plant care.

Congregation Keneseth Israel, 2227 W. Chew St., Allentown, will offer Torah in Motion: Exploring the Weekly Parashah through Dance 10:30 a.m. to noon. Join Rabbi Shoshanah Tornberg to explore the Torah through body movement. Participants of all physical abilities are welcome. Registration is required by May 8. To register, go to www.kilv.org.

The Parkland Garden Club will meet at Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield. The program “Plant Nutrition and Soil Testing” will be presented by Dr. Cari Peters. Cetronia Ambulance Corps will hold its EMS for Children Day, a free community event 1-4 p.m. during EMS Week. It is dedicated to celebrating Cetronia’s team while educating children about emergency medical services in a fun and engaging way. Families can explore the ambulances and emergency vehicles, meet Andy the Ambulance, enjoy games and activities, listen to music and grab food from Take a Taco and Drizzle Ice.

This outdoor event takes place at the Lehigh County Sports Fields, 4200 Broadway, South Whitehall and is open to everyone at no cost. Cetronia is also partnering with Starting Over Animal Rescue for a pet adoption, giving attendees the chance to meet animals in need of a loving home.

May 18

The Jewish Community Center of the Lehigh Valley, Triathlon Day event will be held 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 702 N. 22nd St., Allentown. Kids and families can test their fitness in an indoor swim and outdoor run on the JCC recreation park track. Strollers are welcome. Race lengths are different for different ages. The Jewish Community Center of the Lehigh Valley, NextGen Family Shabbat Dinner will be offered 5:45 p.m. at Muhlenberg College Hillel, 2238 W. Chew St., Allentown. Join NextGen (ages 30-45) for a family meal and family-friendly games to wrap up its second year. A gift to the Jewish Federation’s 2025 annual Campaign for Jewish Needs is required to attend. The Kempton Fair presented by the Kempton Community Center, 83 Community Center Drive, Kempton. The fFair is sponsoring a special Pennsylvania Dutch Shoofly Pie baking contest June 12. June 16-20

South Whitehall Township Emergency Services Youth Camp for ages 12–16 years old 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cetronia Ambulance Corps, 4300 Broadway, South Whitehall. This free camp is sponsored by Cetronia Ambulance Corps, Cetronia Fire Company, Greenawalds Fire/Rescue, South Whitehall Township Police, South Whitehall Emergency Management and Woodlawn Fire Department. Youth will have the opportunity to learn about the important role public safety workers play in the community, as well as provide a basic understanding for pursuing a fulfilling career in emergency services such as life saving skills, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid, vehicle extrication and rescue, police and fire K-9s, bomb squad, special operations and tech rescue, fire fighting and emergency communications. The camp will end after a family picnic and awards at noon on June 20.

Camp enrollment is limited to 24 participants.

June 23-27

The South Whitehall Township Police Department is accepting registrations for its seventh annual free Youth Law Enforcement Academy, a hands-on, engaging program designed to introduce local youth to the world of law enforcement, to be held at the police headquarters, 4444 Walbert Ave. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is open to South Whitehall Township residents entering fifth through seventh grade (ages 10–12). Priority will be given to first-time attendees. If space allows, Parkland School District students living outside the township may also be considered.
