David Neidig

Forg Flo machinist

David Neidig died at home on April 25, 2025. Born in Sunbury, he was a son of the late Belden and Nadine (Klein) Neidig. He was the husband of the late Patricia Neidig.

He was a 1958 Sunbury HS graduate.

He was a Radioman, 2nd Class, in the U.S. Navy.

He was a machinist for Forg Flo. He later joined PPL, Martins Creek plant, and worked for over 40 years before he retired.

His hobbies were laser engraving, woodworking, cabinetmaking, clock building and stained glass.

He is survived by a daughter, Valarie Berger and her husband Jay; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, Baylen, Connor, Alyssa, Riley and Levi; three stepdaughters, Tammy Fritzinger, Jill Colonna and her husband Isadore and Dawn Belchunes; five stepgrandchildren, Christopher, Jared, Alyssa, Nick and Tara; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and his companion, Lucy Narvaez.

He was predeceased by a sister, Joan Mertz; a stepson-in-law, Alfred Fritzinger Jr.; and a stepgrandson, Eric.
