Rodney D. Moreira, 73, of Whitehall and formerly of Slatington, died April 27, 2025, in his home. He was the husband of Deborah R. (Edwards) Moreira for 52 years.

Born in Walnutport, he was the son of the late Deodoro and Irene (Dotter) Moreira.

He worked for National Freight (NFI) for several years before retiring in 2025. Earlier, he had a long career in transportation.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Slatington.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Mark W. and wife Stacy of Vermont; a daughter, Amy L. Fredericks and husband Shaun of Bethlehem; a brother, Barry and wife Margaret of Lehighton; two grandchildren, Emily and Nathan Unger; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Gerald and wife Helen.

There will be a calling time 10-11 a.m., followed by a memorial service 11 a.m., May 8 at the funeral home, 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
