A North Whitehall Township man pleaded guilty April 30 to a 2023 double homicide in North Catasauqua.
John Derwin Bradley, then 17, admitted to stabbing to death Rosalyn Siobal Glass, 39, and her 16-year-old daughter, Rianna Lynn Glass.
The mother and daughter were found dead in their home at 1106 Railroad St., North Catasauqua, Sept. 14, 2023.
Bradley and Rianna Glass had previously been romantically involved, but their relationship reportedly ended in August 2023.
Derwin pleaded not guilty in January 2024 to the charges but has changed his plea.
His sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 4, according to reports.
Bradley also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault for crashing the car he allegedly stole from Rosalyn Glass. A teenage girl, a passenger in the vehicle, was reportedly seriously injured in the crash, which happened in Upper Saucon Township.
According to Catasauqua Press coverage of the 2023 incident, Upper Saucon Township police reportedly responded to a single-vehicle crash just before 6 a.m. Sept. 14, 2023, and found Bradley and the unnamed teenage girl ejected from the vehicle.
An investigation reportedly connected the vehicle to Rosalyn Glass and revealed a Smith and Wesson HRT fixed-blade, double-edged knife with a red-brown stain and a white long-sleeved T-shirt with a similar stain near Bradley.
According to reports, North Catasauqua officers received no response to calls to the Railroad Street residence on file for the vehicle. They then responded to a report of an unresponsive woman at the residence and found Rosalyn and Rianna Glass.
Video footage from neighbors allegedly show a man matching Bradley’s description entering the Railroad Street home 9:11 p.m. Sept. 13, 2023. A female matching the appearance of the unnamed teenage girl was reportedly also recorded walking around the front of the residence and entering just after 2:30 a.m. Sept. 14, 2023.
The videos are said to show both the male and female leaving the rear of the residence around 3:30 a.m. Sept. 14, 2023. Seven minutes later, a vehicle matching Rosalyn Glass’ Murano was reportedly seen traveling west on Arch Street.
According to Northampton County District Attorney Terry Houck, a search warrant was executed for DNA swabs from Bradley Sept. 15, 2023. Forensic analysis reportedly confirmed the knife contained DNA from Bradley and Rosalyn and Rianna Glass. Bradley’s DNA was also reportedly found in a red-brown stain on the Railroad Street home’s kitchen floor.
The Sept. 16, 2023, autopsies confirmed Rosalyn Glass died from multiple stab wounds, and Rianna Glass died from neck compression and stab wounds, according to the coroner’s report.
Rianna Glass was a student at Northampton Area High School.
