Curbside collection program slated for May 5-9, Nov. 10-14

Upper Milford Township again offers residents a fee-based roadside yard waste collection program.
Collection dates are May 5-9 and Nov. 10-14.
Residents who want to use the roadside service must purchase a yard waste collection sticker for each container or bundle to be picked up.
The following items are acceptable for collection:
•leaves
•tree and plant trimmings
•tree limbs and branches (less than 4 feet long and 4 inches in diameter)
•garden and flower bed materials
Acceptable items must be placed in open containers no larger than 32 gallons in size and have a total weight of less than 50 pounds.
Limbs and branches less than 48 inches long and 4 inches in diameter may be tied in bundles 48 inches by 18 inches by 18 inches and weighing 50 pounds or less. Ties used for the bundles must be biodegradable.
A new yard waste sticker must be fastened to each container or bundle to be collected. The stickers on the container will be removed or voided after one use.
Residents must contact the township office at 610-966-3223 or email info@uppermilford.net to schedule a collection time.
Yard waste roadside collection stickers may be purchased at the Upper Milford Township office, 5671 Chestnut St., Emmaus. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. A mail option also is available.
