The Sanctuary at Haafsville Cat Adoption Center, 7209 Kernsville Road, Orefield, has the following cat available for adoption. If you are interested in Earl, call 484-285-5445 (option 4) or request an application by emailing catadoptions@thesanctuarypa.org. You may complete and submit an adoption application at thesanctuarypa.org. Earl is a good old boy who likes to take things nice and slow. His favorite way to enjoy life is curled up in your lap. Earl prefers the simple things in life - good food, yummy treats, bird watching and of course naps with his person. He is quiet, gentle and affectionate. Earl has been getting along fine with his feline roommates. Earl is 9 years old, neutered, vaccinated, negative for feline leukemia virus, litter trained and microchipped. Earl is positive for feline immunodeficiency virus. Please don’t let that deter you from considering him for adoption. FIV cats can live long and happy lives. FIV positive cats can reside with other friendly FIV plus and FIV negative cats. FIV is transmitted through deep puncture wounds typically during mating or fighting. FIV is not transmitted between cats from sharing water/food bowls or litter boxes. FIV is not transmitted between cats from mutual grooming. FIV plus cats can reside with dogs without any concern.
