The Emmaus High School boys volleyball team won both of its matches last week to remain unbeaten in the 2025 season.
Last Tuesday, April 1, the Hornets defeated defending District 11 champion Parkland in four sets by scores of 22-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-21. Emmaus then took care of Pocono Mountain West in straight sets the following night by scores of 25-11, 25-18, 25-18.
The win over the Trojans was the first against them in the last seven matches. It looked as if they were on their way to another victory in the series after winning the opening set, but Emmaus responded to take the next three.
Miles Boulrice finished with a team-high 14 kills and four blocks. Colin Holden tallied 10 kills and seven blocks and Lucas Mondin recorded nine kills. Junior setter Ben Skekel finished with 35 assists as well as nine digs.
Defensively, Jackson Holden and Jude Boyle both had seven digs.
In the victory over the Panthers, Brayden Dang finished with 11 kills, six digs and three blocks. Both Bilaal Kerim and Sander Houtz recorded eight kills with the former adding three blocks and the latter three digs.
Skekel contributed 21 assists and Jayden Perez added 20 assists.
Emmaus improved its record to 8-0 overall and is 5-0 in the conference.
The Hornets were at Nazareth Tuesday evening and host Northampton on Thursday night, before welcoming Dieruff to town Monday night. They will also compete in the Koller Classic at Central York High School this weekend.
