MEMORIAL CEREMONY: The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Troop M is marking the 120th anniversary of the PSP by honoring the 104 Troopers who have died in the line of duty Friday, May 2, starting at 9 a.m. at the Troop M Headquarters, Bethlehem Station, 2930 Airport Road, Bethlehem.
The PSP was created by Senate Bill 278, which was signed by Gov. Samuel Pennypacker on May 2, 1905, making PSP the first uniformed police agency of its kind in the United States. Troopers will be available to direct personnel on parking.

GARDEN CLUB: The Bethlehem Garden Club is having a presentation on “Propagating Plants from Cuttings,” presented by Steve Fluharty on Thursday, May 15, at Advent Moravian Church, 3730 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem. Doors open at 12:30, Program at 1 p.m. followed by club meeting and refreshments.
MORAVIAN EXHIBIT: The Moravian Historical Society announces the opening of a new special exhibition, New to Us: Recent Additions to the Collection, on Sunday, May 4.
New to Us: Recent Additions to the Collection highlights acquisitions from the last decade, inviting visitors into the process of documentation and storytelling. The objects in this exhibition illustrate why we collect, revealing the stories that connect us. Whether through their makers, owners or donors, every object has a story to tell.
The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Sunday, May 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. McLeod will speak about the exhibition at 3 p.m. New to Us: Recent Additions to the Collection will be on view from May 4, through Jan. 18, 2026.
The Moravian Historical Society’s Museum is open daily from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., except holidays, and is located at 214 East Center St., Nazareth.

RECOVERY CITY: Lehigh County Drug and Alcohol and the Center for Humanistic Change are hosting a special screening of the documentary Recovery City, on Wednesday, May 14, from 5 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the Civic Theatre of Allentown, at 527 N. 19th St, Allentown.
This free public event and film screening will shed light on the challenges and triumphs of women with children who are battling and overcoming addiction.
Before the film screening, attendees are invited to a Resource Fair from 5 to 6 p.m. featuring local recovery and family support organizations. The first 100 guests will receive a $10 movie snack voucher.

VALLEY CLASSIC: Valley Youth House has been selected as one of the primary beneficiaries of the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic, a new professional golf tournament coming to the PGA TOUR Champions schedule in fall 2026. The tournament, announced recently by Jefferson Health, PGA TOUR Champions, and Lehigh Country Club, will be held annually in Allentown and is expected to generate a $50 million boost to the region’s economy over the next five years.
As one of two nonprofit organizations chosen to benefit from the event’s proceeds, Valley Youth House will receive funding to support its mission of providing housing, counseling and life skills development for vulnerable youth and families across the Lehigh Valley and beyond.
The other beneficiary is the Eagles Autism Foundation, which will receive funding to support autism research and care programs.
The Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic will debut the week of Sept. 28, 2026, at the historic Lehigh Country Club.
