Becahi presents ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’

An Old Testament tale comes to life with “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” 7 p.m. May 2, 3, auditorium, Bethlehem Catholic HS, 2133 Madison Avenue, Bethlehem.

With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, the musical is based on the “coat of many colors” story of Joseph from the Bible’s Book of Genesis.

The musical premiered on Broadway in 1982, receiving six Tony Award nominations.

Production numbers include “Any Dream Will Do,” “Close Every Door,” “Those Canaan Days,” “One More Angel in Heaven,” “Go, Go, Go Joseph,” “Potiphar,” “Song of the King” and “Joseph Megamix.”

The cast of the Bethlehem Catholic production includes: Elizabeth Maigur (Narrator), Cooper Roche (Joseph) and LJ Horvath (Jacob). Joseph’s brothers are played by: Dominic Oviedo (Reuben), Caius Van Haute (Naphtali), Brandon Santana (Judah), Canon Morrow (Levi), Elizabeth Schock (Dan), Theresa Ruhl (Gad), Deidre Michels (Zebulum), Ben Searfoss (Asher), Anna Nagle (Simeon), Andrew Santana (Issachar) and Matthew Oviedo (Benjamin).

Additional cast members include: Tyler Alonge (Pharaoh/Potiphar), Ruby Romero (Mrs. Potiphar), Anna Nagle (Butler) and Julia Barbier (Baker).

Julia Barbier and Andreia Dias are Mrs. Potiphar Dancers.

The Featured Dancer in “Canaan Days” is Ruby Romero.

Julia Barbier, Andreia Dias, Ava Frio, and Anna Maigur are members of the Ensemble.

Rainbow Choir singers include: Olivia Hann, Sophia Kirk, Sophia Machado, Michael Selvaggio, Addison Stametz and Lexi Triantafelow.

Director Diana Kotlar Tice is aided by Assistant Director Barbara Ruhl, Choreographer / Assistant Director / Costumer Lisa Quigley, Choreographer Allyn Roche, Technical Director DJ Seibert and Stage Manager Caelan Bratteson.

Musical Director Joseph Fink conducts the following pit musicians: Jen Vandegrift, Lucienne Kovatch, Steve Lauducci, Madison Araniego, Luke Simons, Paul Chepolis, Mark Bensinger II, Pete Willner, Tom Mondschein, Chad Miller, Fran Kaczmarek, Ethan Bachstein and Rory Kirk.
