Lehigh Township: Lioness-Lions Club holds basket party May 4

The Lehigh Township Lioness-Lions Club will be holding its annual basket party, scheduled for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. May 4 at Roosevelt Democratic Club, 3980 Mountain View Drive, Danielsville.

The next meeting of the Indianland Garden Club will be May 13. Randy Fey, a Master Gardener, will speak about how the changing climate will impact our plant species.

The club is also planning for its annual plant sale, set for 9 a.m.-noon May 24 at the pavilion of Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville.

The Lehigh Township Historical Society will be having its first open house of the season 1-4 p.m. May 18.

Oplinger-Hower American Legion Post 899 of Lehigh Township continues its Hometown Heroes banner program. Details needed include the first and last name, branch of service, era, status (KIA/POW/MIA), medals (Purple Heart/Silver Star/ Bronze Star) and a photo.
