of Macungie

Frank P. Ferrandina, 72, of Macungie, died peacefully April 22, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospice in Bethlehem.

Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he pursued his passion for aviation by attending the School of Aeronautics. He achieved early professional success as the youngest manager of Woolworth’s in New York City.

He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus for more than 40 years, attaining the esteemed rank of 4th Degree Knight. His deep faith was evident through his active involvement at St. Ann’s Parish in Emmaus, where he served as a Eucharistic minister and participated in the usher ministry.

Beyond his professional and spiritual commitments, he found joy in playing golf, watching classic films and listening to a diverse range of music. He also took great pride in cultivating beautiful gardens, meticulously tending to his flowers and plants, which brought beauty and serenity to his home.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria; his cherished daughter, Cristina and her fiancé, Douglas Drummond Jr.; his dear sister, Elvira Busardo; his brother, Joseph; his adored cats, Valkyrie and Violet.

Arrangements were made by Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.
