Francis “Moose” E. Kostecky, 78, of East Allen Township, died April 17, 2025. He was the husband of JoAnn M. (Fatula) Kostecky for 50 years.

Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Edward and Josephine (Pogwist) Kostecky.

He was a 1968 graduate of Villanova University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.

He worked as an assistant supervisor for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board in the Bureau of Enforcement and Licensing for 34 years until retiring in 2003.

He served as the East Allen Township tax collector 2013-17 and has been a township supervisor since June 2024.

He was a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was a member and past president of Mahoning Valley Country Club, Lehighton. Throughout the years, he was a member of several dart leagues, including Alliance Fire Company, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Robin A. Caverly-Kelly with James of Catasauqua; a son, Matthew E. with Selina of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and a grandson, Andrew Wade.

He was predeceased by a brother, Michael and wife Judy; and a son-in-law, Wade E. Caverly.
