Christopher Cruz has announced his intent to run for East Allen Township supervisor. A Republican, he has already served as a supervisor in the township for the past five years.
“Voters are looking for a supervisor who has the ability to work constructively with their fellow board members and residents, a supervisor that will listen to the residents complaints, ideas and suggestions,” Cruz said. “As a supervisor for the past five years, I represented the township’s communal interests.”
Additional qualifications include serving as a delegate for the River Central Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan, chairperson for the open space and farmland preservation committee, chairperson for the township’s historical society and two years on the zoning hearing board. Cruz also completed the Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Education Institute course on zoning administration.
“I have demonstrated that, by working with the residents, we can fulfill their visions for East Allen Township,” Cruz said. “They are looking for a supervisor who can work well under pressure while still being innovative and forward thinking. As a public servant for the last 42 years, I have experience with relating to the community in various situations, which often called for quick thinking and creative problem solving.”
