Band concert

While waiting for the April 25 Northampton Area High School band concert to begin, students in the percussion section of the concert band get together for a photo. The concert band performed five musical selections during their portion of the concert.
Freshman Jaxon Essig is a featured saxophone soloist during two musical selections performed by the jazz ensemble, which included the songs “Stolen Moments” and “Autumn Leaves.”
Sydney Jade Gibiser, a sophomore, performs on the French horn during the concert band portion of the night.
Senior Jake Bindics, playing the tenor saxophone, performs with the jazz ensemble. He also is a member of the concert band, playing the clarinet.
Junior Drew Janders plays the kettle drums during the concert band’s rendition of “Accolade,” written by Mark Lortz. The song is a powerful and uplifting musical presentation defining an expression of high praise.
Bass player Kaedyn Parker, a Northampton Area Middle School eighth-grade student, performs a last-minute instrument check before playing in the jazz and percussion ensembles. Kaedyn was invited to play in the high school’s concert, in addition to NAMS’ band concert.
