Shirley M. (Smith) Hamm, 80, formerly of Orefield, died peacefully April 15, 2025, with her loving daughter by her side at Parkland Manor, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Barry C. Hamm. Born in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Lee E. Smith Sr. and Gertrude V. (Brown) Smith.

She co-owned with her husband, the former Hamm’s Orefield Auto Parts & Service, Inc. for 40 years before retiring in 2005. Before that, she worked for the former Pet Frozen Foods in Allentown as a line worker.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah S. Long (Daryl), of Hamburg; sister, Mary A. Campbell, of Lehighton; grandchildren, Chadd (Jessica), Trey, Dylan (Megan); great-grandchildren, Jesse, Elliee, Remy. She was predeceased by brothers, Donald A. Smith and Lee Earl Smith Jr.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. April 26 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Sharon L. Furbur officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects 1-2 p.m. before the service.
