Lois J. Tice

UCC Greenawalds member

Lois Jean (Geise) Tice, 97, of Allentown, died peacefully April 15, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Tice. Born in Shenandoah, Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late Russell Cyrus and Florence (Bennyhoff) Geise.

She was a loving mother and homemaker. She never ceased in that role even up to her final hours, supporting and comforting her family during her final goodbyes. She co-owned with her late husband the former Robert S. Tice Excavating Company in Allentown for more than 20 years. She then worked for the former Hess Bros. Department Store/Bonton in Allentown. She was a proud 10-gallon blood donor at the Miller – Keystone Blood Bank. A woman of great faith, she was a member of United Church of Christ Greenawalds where she was active with the women’s guild and served as a soup kitchen volunteer for many years. She was a loyal and wonderful friend to many who had the pleasure of knowing her. Beautiful inside and out, she overflowed with love and grace throughout her lifetime.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon T. Brown and her husband, Matthew, of Lebanon, N.H.; sons, Richard R. and his wife, Debbie, of Allentown, Robert R. and his wife, Ruthie, of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Richie M., Justin R., Heather K. Wealand, Kelsey T. Brown, Laura E. Brown-Perrier; great-grandchildren, Levi, Bodhi, Oliver and Shelby.
