James R. Scriff, 82, of Upper Macungie Township, died April 13, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Anne (McCarthy) Scriff. Born in Newark, N.J., he was the son of the late James and Margaret (Marano) Scriff.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a master’s degree from Seton Hall University. He was employed as a quality control manager for Kraft Foods, Inc., Fogelsville for many years before retiring.

He loved to spend time with his family and friends and golfing whenever he had the opportunity. Besides shooting his age or below several times over the past several years he had his first hole in one at the ripe age of 80. He was always there to help whoever asked and would never want any attention or accolades drawn to himself. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all who had the opportunity to meet him.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by a son, Matt and his wife, Tania, of Allentown; sister, Joy Doyle, of New Jersey; granddaughter, Julia, of Allentown.
