Eric Edward Walls

USAF, Ret.

Master Sgt. Eric Edward Walls, USAF, Ret., 51, of Lusby, Md. and formerly of Allentown, died March 20, 2025, at George Washington University Hospital. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Edward Walls and Victoria (Yurickones) Walls.

He graduated from William Allen High School in 1991 and served in the U.S. Air Force from March 1994 until November 2017. During his 23 years of service, he was stationed in New Mexico, Japan, Italy and Maryland. On Aug. 4, 1995, he married his wife, Heidi, in the town center of Aviano, Italy.

Assignments included Holloman, New Mexico and Misawa, Japan. After returning to the United States in 2006, he was the NCOIC of the Structures Shop and served as a structural craftsman for the 11th Civil Engineering Squadron, Operations Flight at Joint Base Andrews, Md. During his time at Joint Base Andrews, he also served as a simplified acquisition of base engineer requirements manager, NCOIC of SABER and superintendent of the engineering flight.

His awards and decorations during his Air Force career include: Air Force Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Unit Award with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with three Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with Bronze Star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Bronze Star, Iraq Campaign Medal with Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Ribbon Short with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Overseas Ribbon Long, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border, Air Force Longevity Service with four Oak Leaf Clusters, USAF NCO PME Graduation Ribbon with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship, Air Force Training Ribbon and NATO Medal.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by children, Autumn, Rebekah, Edward, Winter and Mairy.

Services will be private. Arrangements were made by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
