District News: PSSA testing underway

Northampton Area School District’s PSSA testing window for language arts for grades 3-8 will continue through April 25. Testing is very important. Daily attendance is encouraged, along with getting a good night’s rest and eating a healthy breakfast.

The elementary instrument safari and parent meeting, to share valuable information about music programs, is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. April 24 in the cafeteria at George Wolf Elementary School.

Save the date: The Class of 2025 commencement ceremony will be 7:30 p.m. May 30, with rain dates of May 31 and June 1, at Al Erdosy Stadium. Every graduating senior will receive 10 tickets at graduation practice the week of commencement.

NASD is looking forward to celebrating the accomplishments of its Class of 2025.

Give your child a great start to a bright future. Community Services for Children and Head Start of the Lehigh Valley, in partnership with NASD, is offering prekindergarten, which can give your child a strong start in school and in life. It is no cost to you.

The program is for 3- and 4-year-olds residing in NASD and for families whose yearly income meets guidelines. It will be held in the NASD elementary buildings.

Online kindergarten registration is underway throughout NASD. Visit the district website, nadschools.org, to begin the process and follow the guidelines to register.
