Coplay Public Library: Girl Scouts coming to library for special storytime April 26
The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania will visit 1 p.m. April 26 for a special storytime for kindergarten-aged children. There will also be a craft and singing around the special “indoor campfire.”
Registration is not required.

Come watch a free movie at the library! Movies start 11 a.m.
The schedule includes “Finding Nemo” April 26, “Beauty and the Beast” May 3, “Snow White” May 10, “Sleeping Beauty” May 17 and “Black Beauty” May 31. Note: There will not be a movie May 24 since the library will be closed for Memorial Day.
Bring snacks if you’d like.

The annual library basket social will be held May 17 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church hall, 4 S. Fifth St. The drawing will be 6:30 p.m.
Tickets will be available starting May 5 at the library. They will also be sold 4-6:30 p.m. at the church hall on the day of the social.
The baskets are on display at the library until May 17, when they will be moved to the church hall.
You don’t need to be present to win.

Vince’s Steak Sandwich food truck is coming to Coplay 2-7 p.m. May 21. It will be parked at Coplay Parkway, Second and Keefer streets.
Drinks and desserts will also be available.

The coloring group for teens and adults meets 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. No registration is required.

Sign up your child for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Read any book to your newborn, infant and/or toddler. Keep track of the titles of the books on our convenient reading log sheets or any other method you choose.
When patrons reach 50, and then for each 100 books, they will get an award. There is no time limit to the program, and more than one child can participate.

Our Fiber Arts and Friends Circle group meets 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Whether you want to learn to crochet or knit, work on a current project or get advice from our experts, join us for a relaxing and instructive hour. We have extra yarn and knitting/crochet needles.
Adults and teens are welcome.

Take a break in your day and read the local newspapers in the library. We have a subscriptions to Whitehall-Coplay Press and The Morning Call.

Stop by the library and browse our selection of fiction and nonfiction books for sale. We also have CDs and DVDs.
Look for them on the shelves under the circulation desk and on the sale cart. Ask if you need assistance.

We accept donations of books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles all year. See our donations policy on our website, coplaypl.org, or call the library at 610-262-7351.
For your safety, drop off donations at the circulation desk during open hours. Do not leave donations at the front door.

If you need to use a computer to search for information or print something, we have six public access computers for you to use. You just need to show your library card at the front desk when you come into the library.
If you do not have a library card, it only takes a few minutes to get one. All you need is a form of ID, like a driver’s license.
Library cards are free and may be used at 12 libraries in Lehigh and Carbon counties.
