TIME CHANGES: All BASD schools will be closed May 20 for Election Day, and May 26 for Memorial Day.
BASD AWARDS: BASD has received 14 state-level awards from the Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association, including two Awards of Excellence, the highest honor, for our BASD Viewbook and #GetInvolvedBASD Social Media Campaign! AUTISM AWARENESS: The IU team at Miller Heights ES organized a mural for Autism Awareness Month that incorporated schoolwide participation, with each grade creating puzzle pieces based on colors and our Amazing IU20 kids creating the flowers underneath.

STEPDANCING COMPETITION: Freshman student Erin Giacalone placed ninth in the world at the Irish Stepdancing World Championships recently in Killarney, Ireland. Erin’s talent, dedication and hard work have truly shone on the international stage. What an amazing accomplishment.
